Moroccan poufs, handmade in Morocco
A Moroccan pouf (often spelled pouffe in the UK) is a round floor cushion you can use as an ottoman, a footstool or an extra seat. Ours are made by hand in Morocco in two materials, leather and wool. Every pouf in this collection is $79, and shipping is free worldwide.
Who makes our poufs?
Our poufs are handmade in Morocco by Moroccan women artisans. Leather poufs are stitched by hand, and wool poufs are woven by hand. Read more about Moroccan Woven.
Leather or wool pouf: which one should you choose?
Leather poufs are the classic Moroccan ottoman. They are hand-stitched, and the leather develops a patina over time, which gives each one more character as it ages. They suit living rooms, reading corners and entryways. Browse our Moroccan leather poufs.

Wool poufs are woven and soft to the touch, with a warmer, more textured look. They work well in bedrooms, nurseries and rooms with a wool rug. They come in two-tone colour pairs such as Amlou Brown & Sahara Ochre, Atlas Rose & Night Black, Berber Olive & Sahara Ochre and Black Night & Ecru Wool. Browse our Moroccan wool poufs.
Are the poufs shipped filled?
No. Our poufs are shipped unstuffed, so the parcel stays small. When it arrives, you fill the pouf at home: old blankets, towels or clothes give a firm seat, and a pouf insert or fibre filling gives a softer one. Fill it tightly so it keeps a round shape.
How can you use a Moroccan pouf?

As an ottoman in front of the sofa, to rest your feet.
As a footstool next to an armchair or in a reading corner.
As extra seating when guests come over.
As a low side table, with a tray on top.

Can I order a custom pouf?
Yes. On our custom Berber poufs page you choose the design and colours, and Moroccan women artisans make the pouf to order by hand in Morocco, in 2–4 weeks.
Shipping and duties
Shipping is free to every country, and US import duties are included in the price. For the UK and EU, import VAT and duties are not included; whether they are charged depends on your country and on customs. In other countries, import taxes may apply. More details are in our Shipping Policy.
Pair a pouf with a rug
A wool pouf in Black Night & Ecru Wool sits well on a cream Beni Ourain rug, and a leather pouf adds warmth next to a colourful Azilal rug or a dense Beni Mrirt rug. For more ideas, read our Moroccan poufs and Berber pillows buying guide.
